The Golden Gate Strait is the entrance to the San Francisco Bay from the Pacific Ocean. It took approximately four years to build and opened in 1937! 128 lights are installed on the bridge roadway, and the bridge's paint color is orange vermillion. The paint used for the bridge was chosen to match the colors of the hills in Marin County. The bridge is approx. 1.7 miles long and 200,00 people have walked the bridge's entire length. The Golden Gate Bridge was named one of the “Seven Wonders of the Modern World,” in 1994 and the most photographed bridge in the world!
